What is depression?
It is much more than a temporary bad mood or even a “blue” feeling that lasts a few days. Rather, depression is a long-term condition that can dramatically affect a person’s daily life.
These symptoms are related to emotions. Feelings related to sadness, hopelessness, having to no little interest in things you used to enjoy.
The impact of depression is not always “mental,” it can affect the body as well.
You or someone close to you may notice a change in your behaviour.
Depression can also impair one’s ability to think and reflect and can affect memory.
Recognizing depression is the first step to treating it.

What is depression counselling?
During your first consultation, we customize a Psychotherapy/ Counselling treatment plan that’s right for you. We will help you explore the root causes of your depression, which can include workplace issues, family relationships, and social environments. We will help develop treatment plans which empower you to take control: Developing tools and resources to change your way of thinking, change automatic negative thought patterns and negative self-talk, and promote psychologically healthier patterns of living. The goal of therapy is to un-learn the negative thinking patterns that lie at the heart of depression.
